Permanent exhibition - Ethnological artifacts
The ethnological artifacts preserved in the Museum of the Republic of Srpska have been collected over nearly a century, from the establishment of the Museum of the Vrbas Banovina in 1930 to the present day. The Museum of the Vrbas Banovina was founded with the aim of collecting and preserving items of tangible and intangible cultural heritage from the Vrbas Banovina region. The artifacts housed in the Ethnology Department of the Museum represent material, predominantly traditional, culture of the rural population in the northwestern part of the Republic of Srpska from the late 19th and the first half of the 20th century. In addition to items representing tangible cultural heritage, the museum also preserves those representing the intangible cultural heritage of the people from this region. All the items are systematically organized by material types and group affiliation into seven collections.
