Permanent settings
The museum's permanent exhibition covers a huge chronological scope from the distant Paleolithic up to the art of the 20th century. Organized on three levels of a representative building, the exhibit is spread over 5,000m² of exhibition space. The starting point in the design of the new museum setting, in which the curators of the National Museum and designers Jelena Stefanović, Igor and Irena Stepančić participated, was the effort to provide an open insight into art and the past through a balanced combination of the conventional and the innovative.

What to do in the Museum of the Republic of Srpska
The Museum of the Republic of Srpska is the only national museum in the country. In addition to its primary role of preserving artifacts and national historical heritage, the museum actively develops various programs in collaboration, education, and engagement for both children and adults.
